Paparoa Street Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The PTA is a group of parents and caregivers who work closely with the school leadership team to organise community events, offer services and undertake a range of fundraising activities to enhance out children’s time at Paparoa Street School.

Our current strategy is to Connect, Fund and Improve.

Everyone is welcome to join to PTA. It is a great way to meet others in our school community.

PTA Meetings.

PTA meetings are held once a month in the staffroom at 6.30pm.

One of the Senior Leadership team (Dy, Paula, or Katherine) attends and provides a report on current happenings within the school and any wish list items the school needs/wants at the time.  A representative from the Board of Trustees attends each meeting and provides an update from the board.

Everyone is welcome to come along.  Meetings are a great insight into the inner workings of the PTA, decision making and ideas regarding fundraising, spending and services.

Staff and Duty Cover

We provide delicious afternoon tea and dessert catering for our staff when they are undertaking specific events or meetings after normal school hours.

We can also cover morning tea and/or lunch duty to allow for full staff meetings when required.

Connect and fundraising events

Connecting our school community and fundraising are an important part of what the PTA does. Raising money for the extras which the Government funding doesn’t provide. These events create a sense of belonging and enrich the learning environment for our children.

As a PTA we like to run several different events throughout the year.

Keep an eye out in the School Newsletters, School App notifications and Facebook page for upcoming events.
