Our Parents Teachers Association

Our Parent-Teachers’ Association

The PTA meets 2-3 times a term in the school staffroom on a Thursday at 7.00 p.m. Dates are advertised in the newsletter and a list of upcoming dates is below. All parents and caregivers are welcome to come along. The current President is Theresa Whitaker.

The PTA’s role is to:

  1. 1  Foster and support the school community spirit

  2. 2  Run additional services for parents such as the school lunches and second hand uniform cupboard

  3. 3  Fundraise money for the extra, nice-to-have things for the school

  4. 4  Make friends and have some fun while doing the above

The PTA is a great way to support your child’s school, feel part of the school community, make friends and find out more about what is happening in the school. There is no commitment to join on a permanent basis and no compulsion to take on a "job". Come along as see what we do!

If you can't come to the meetings and you just want to receive a copy of our minutes and help with big events please email us and we will add you to our Friends of the PTA email list. Email us at paparoastreetpta@gmail.com

PTA Meetings for 2017

23 March AGM,  4 May, 1 June,  29 June,  3 August,  7 September,  19 October,  23 November

Below are some photographs of our new outdoor classroom and obstacle course. This large project was a joint effort of the Board of Trustees, PTA and School. It has been
several years in the planning and fundraising and we are thrilled that it’s finally finished and being fully used by the children.

Completed! Our fabulous outdoor classroom!

 27 November 2015

What a wonderful celebration we all enjoyed last Friday evening, as we opened the fabulous Outdoor Classroom and the new obstacle course. We would like to again thank our generous sponsors and donors, and  it is already proving its worth in the very hot east coast days of an El Nino effect. Our young entertainers all did very well, and now we need to think about improving our ability to operate an outdoor sound system that can reach the back rows of spectators and allow our enthusiastic performers to be heard more clearly.

The ribbon was cut by our eldest and youngest students.
